At just 10 years old, Peace Ayo knew she wanted to do something for girls in Nigeria. Now 16, she is an advocate for girls’ education in the Waru community in Abuja. Peace teaches girls how to speak out for their rights, work with parents to eliminate gender biases and advocates to make sanitary pads free.
With help from YouthHubAfrica, supported byMalala Fund, Peace also mentors girls on how to become education advocates in their own communities.
Sharing her story, Peace was recently featured on Malala Fund's Assembly, a digital and online publication.
